Absolutely breathtaking and a reminder that we are such a small part of a huge universe.

I have lived on the lip
of insanity, wanting to know reasons,
knocking on a door. It opens
I've been knocking from the inside!

Keep your Face to the Sun

The
mistakes we made are the things that make us the person we are. Rewriting the
past rewrites the present and the future. Our struggles and triumphs are
what our character is made of and there’s no reason to ever change who you are.
As
much as my achievements are to be proud of so are my failures. They made me
stronger, taught me valuable lessons, and molded me into a more humble human
being. Why would I ever want the change those things about myself?
That’s
when I’m reminded to turn around and face forward, not backward. Reminiscing on
the past is fine, just don’t live there.
Like the sun, the future is so much brighter
when you’re facing it.
I
see lots of sunshine in the forecast, my friend.
Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows. ~Helen Keller

Everything Around Us Was Beautiful
While going through my pictures I came across this poem I wrote a few months ago for a Wild Sister Magazine challenge:
slowly, i enter
unabashed by the splendor
trinkets and troves
eyes gazing ahead
i marvel at the prospect
for what my sight did see
splendid and so divine
everything around us was beautiful
shimmering and shone
everything around us was beautiful
sparkling and mysterious
in that moment
i was mesmerized
captivated
deep within
i knew
everything around us was beautiful

Green Home
I fell in love with this 100 year old barn turned home when I first saw it on Apartment Therapy last year. I love the simplicity and coziness of it (it's only 400 square feet) but I also love the history and repurposing of it. This home led me to searching for more green homes.
I stumbled upon this sweet dwelling called The Backyard House made with reclaimed barn wood.
And this green prefab home.
Sustainable house from FlatPak.
