Weekend Recap - My 1st Art Show!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and enjoying your Mother's Day! I took a day off yesterday to enjoy myself. So here's the recap of Friday night's art show opening reception.

I made baked brie for the very first time and it was a hit. It had seedless raspberry jam that oozed out when you cut into the brie. I placed the heart cookie cutter too deep so it separated from the rest of the dough. Messy but yummy.

I feel so blessed to not only have my pieces selected but also because I was showing these alongside such beautiful artwork from talented local artists. One of the single most favorite nights of my life! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hugs,

Happy Mother's Day!

This picture was taken back in '06 when my son was 5 but it's one of my favorite pictures of us together. Not only do we not get many pictures together since I'm usually behind the camera, but because this picture reminds me of what an awesome time we had a Disney. It was both of our first time going to Disney so we got to share that first experience together.

This was my very first Mother's Day in '00 and was also my birthday (May 14th). Donovan was 2 months old. I felt so blessed to have him in my life.

Happy Mother's Day!

"We were given: Two hands to hold. Two legs to walk. Two eyes to see. Two ears to listen. But why only one heart? Because the other was given to someone else. For us to find."  ~Unknown

Mixed media fine art print, She is imperfectly perfect

"She is imperfectly perfect."

This is an 8x10 fine art print of a mixed media original painting created by me. Each print has been professionally printed w/ archival inks on Kodak Endura quality paper with a matte finish. Each print is signed and labeled and includes an archival mat with purchase. It's packaged in a protective cello sleeve and shipped in a bend-proof envelope.

Arrives ready to frame!

Actual print will not contain watermark.

In our strive for perfection we fail to see that we are perfect just the way we are - imperfectly.

I would love feedback from you on what you think of this print. Do you like it? Do you think US $20.00 is too much, too little, or just right for a high-quality reproduction print?

For being so supportive and helpful, I'd like to offer a 15% discount on all prints with code THANKYOU.

What do you wish to know?

This is an easy one for me because I was just thinking yesterday how I wish to know courage.

In the ebook, From Passion to Profit, Rebecca Leigh quoted from Brene Brown’s book, The Gifts of Imperfection with this touching definition of courage:

The root of the word courage is cor – The Latin word for heart…Courage originally meant, “To speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart.”

Don’t you just love that?

I wish for courage.  I desire to share a piece of my heart with each of you. I aim to open my heart, my soul, to you and speak the secrets, truths, and aspirations that my mind whispers to me in the sweetest of my dreams.  To demonstrate the bravery of being my authentic self and the courage to know that it’s okay.
