Digging Deep

Digging deep.
I dig out the old and make room for the new. Working through each old hurt and fear and replacing them with joy and peace. I feel the lightness of unloading the burdens I've carried for so very long. A trace of distress touches me but I know it's only because I'm accustomed to carrying a heavy load. It's a good discomfort. Therefore, I release the distress in favor of the lightness. There's beauty in easing into the discomfort and acknowledging the transitions.
This is where growth occurs.
Digging.

Full Moon Dreamboard :: Full Pink Moon

This is the Full Pink Moon which asks, "What dreams is it time to tend?" To participate, please visit Jamie Ridler Studios.

My collages tend to consume every square inch of the page but I love how different this one is in  its spaciousness and simplicity. With the nice clean lines, the focus seems to be on the transition my life is currently undergoing. Change is scary but good. The simplicity also mimics my home life of late as I'm taking this weekend to rake through my home once again to declutter.

Travel Adventures :: Found Hearts

While hiking in the mountains,
I found my heart.

I found my joy.

And I found a little love.

To Feast Retreat,
I carried a sore heart.

It was hurt and broken.

But I wasn't broken.

My heart was in need of soul care.

I allowed the light to reach the dark places.

And for the healing journey to begin.

Travel Adventures :: Day 7

See the posts for Day 1Day 2, Days 3, 4, & 5, and Day 6.

On my last day of vacation, Monday, I packed in as much sightseeing as possible. I checked out of my hotel in Portland and headed to the Columbia River Gorge area. I visited several waterfalls and hiked multiple trails.

I worked up an appetite and enjoyed breakfast of a wild salmon omelet at the Multnomah Falls Lodge.

I visited Cascade Locks to see the Bridge of the Gods.

Later, I headed to Woodburn, OR to visit the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest.

I boarded a plane later that night to head home and return to daily life. I hope you enjoyed this adventure with me!

Hugs,
