Wishcasting Wednesday & Crafting My HeART Out

Thank you for joining me for this week's Wishcasting Wednesday. If you'd like to join this magical circle of dreamers and doers, please visit Jamie Ridler Studios.

Today's prompt:

What do you wish to do one day?

One day I wish to travel the world and see all the beauty that was created here on earth. I try to take a trip each year to a new destination. I mark off each U.S. state I've been to on a map in my art journal and also hope to add more countries in the coming years. I really, really wish to take some time off and go backpacking through Europe one day. Travel costs money so I also wish for the extra money devoted to travel!

My crafting continues from the weekend... :-)

Last night I decided to make another epsom salt luminary since I didn't like how the color turned out on the first one

The new and improved is on the left and the first one is on the right. This time I used 3 drops of blue food coloring which created a more vibrant color.

I also made more doodle & word rock art. These are based off the love rocks on {not the} Office Type.

I used scrapbook paper, Ranger Liquid Pearls, lots of Mod Podge, and a couple coats of varnish.

I made two tinted mason jars using instructions from the Momtastic blog.

They were easy to create but my colors are way too light that you can barely notice the tint. I used 3 drops of food coloring each so I would bump that number up next time.

blue on left, pink on right
My last crafting project was also from Momtastic, star jars. She used star stickers and red spray paint to create these for Independence Day. I thought they were cute enough for everyday so I used white spray paint. I used star stickers but I also thought it would be cute to use dragonfly stickers.

I think they're super cute! I used Bell brand jars but it would be much easier if you used a jar without raised lettering on the outside. Since my dragonfly stickers were placed on the lettering a little bit of the paint dripped behind the stickers. But, when lit it's not so obvious.

I hope you're enjoying my crafting adventures! I have a 3-day weekend coming up so I imagine there will be many more projects to come!

Artfully Yours,

I love you wishes and your crafting adventures. I'm going to have to send my mom this way -- she makes luminaries for Christmas Eve every year. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you.
