AEDM - Day 28

Welcome to Day 28 of Art Every Day Month!

There's no doubt that today is Monday! That would explain why it's taken me forever to get today's AEDM post up. I have to say that at least I had a bit of happiness when I got home from work. These lovelies arrived in the mail:

These are 4 vintage hankies to add to my collection. They came from Girl Makes Goods. Love them! I'm currently using some of my collection as a window valance in my bedroom (here). I'm not sure what I'll do with these yet...Anyway, on to today's AEDM.

No big project today just playing around in my art journal. I did some journaling last night but since it's personal I don't want it others to read it so I like to cover it up a bit. Most of the time I would throw some gesso and/or some paint on top but my eyes caught this heart   garland blowing in the wind and had an aha moment. I love the pattern on the large hearts and thought it would be cute to drape across the journal pages and spray some Glimmer Mists over it.

My written words are still visible but preying eyes just might be distracted.

While I was at it I made a few background pages for future journaling.

First I sprayed the pages with starch and then applied my Glimmer Mist colors. I laid a piece of plastic wrap over the top and squished it around and let it dry. I created some of these pages before (here) that turned out better looking. I was having trouble with a couple of my sprayers tonight. I thought they might be clogged and rinsed them out with no luck. Any suggestions?
