AEDM - Day 15

Welcome to Day 15 of Art Every Day Month!
Day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 101112, 13, & 14.

Let's make scrapbook paper coasters!

Step 1:
Pick up 4 (or as many as you need) plain 'ol ceramic tiles from a home improvement store (mine were .33 cents each).

Step 2:
Select your favorite scrapbook paper. I picked colors that would match my living/dining room. Flip a tile over, trace on the scrapbook paper, and cut out your squares.

Step 3:
Attach felt sliders to the bottom of tiles. I added a drop of glue to ensure the felt stays in place.

Step 4:
Add a coat of Mod Podge to the coaster and place your square on top. Smooth out any bubbles and make sure all edges are secure. Apply a couple coats on top to seal.

Step 5:
Voila! You now have beautiful, one-of-a-kind coasters!

That is such a fun and affordable idea - especially to use up some of the leftovers from collections I have! Thanks for sharing!

You could sooo use artwork on these! I saw a post on another blog this morning that made these but didn't go all the way to the edge of the tile like I did with the paper. They looked really cute with a border.

Have a great day!
